Feiping Nie received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Tsinghua University, China, in 2009. He is currently a Full Professor with Northwestern Polytechnical University, China. He has published over 100 articles in the following journals and conferences: TPAMI, IJCV, TIP, TNNLS, TKDE, ICML, NIPS, KDD, IJCAI, AAAI, ICCV, CVPR, and ACM MM. His research interests include machine learning and its applications, such as pattern recognition, data mining, computer vision, image processing, and information retrieval. His articles have been cited over 18 000 times and the H-index is 73. He is currently serving as an associate editor or a PC member for several prestigious journals and conferences in the related fields.
